About The Noble (Low) Family
Please sign in to see more. I have added more information (30 April 08), after making contact with Delores in USA, and Bill Main in BC, Canada. I am very grateful to both of you for providing information.
Delores' grandmother (Isabella) was a Nanny to a famous horse racing famly in England. Isabella set sail to the USA in 1906 on the USS Baltic, captained by John Smith, who was later captain of the ill-fated Titanic.
My thanks also to Bill Main, cousin to Auntie Rose and my late father. Bill has made my ancestors "come alive" as he has added character and given an insight into their lives. No longer are they just names on a page. I have added notes where possible to some people.
I am still searching for names, dates and places and so any information, photographs, etc will be gratefully received.

What can I say about the Noble family? I would like to say "lots" - but now I wish that I hadn't waited until my father (Andrew Noble LOW) died before starting this project, I would have asked him so many questions. The "Noble" line comes from my father's mother's side and this is where my research starts.
The past 2-3 months have been very interesting and frustrating, trying to tie in who belongs to who, where and when!! When I found a site which showed lots of Noble's in a cemetery in Burghead, I was so excited. Tony, my husband, was getting worried that I was happy to find "dead relatives"!!!
I wish I had met my great great grandmother (Jessie Ralph Noble) who died in 1961. I was born 1951, and assumed I had no living grand-parents - not knowing that great- great granny Noble was still alive.
From the information I have gathered so far, my Noble ancestors were sailmakers in Burghead for many years.
I have added a few photographs showing the Tay Railway Bridge in Dundee, as my father spent many years driving his "choo-choo train" over this magnificant railway bridge - which I think is the longest rail bridge in the UK. No doubt I will be corrected if this is wrong!!
I am still gathering information, so will keep updating this site as and when I can. If you can help with any names, dates, photographs, etc. I will gladly add to the site.
Come back again soon ..... Sandie (also known as Alexandra or Sandra)
